Meet the Team

Dr. Sohi obtained his license to practice optometry in North Carolina in 2003. He graduated from the University of Virginia in 1998 with a bachelor's degree in biology. In 2003 he graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia with his Doctor of Optometry degree.

He completed his clinical training in 2003 at the Eye Institute in Philadelphia, Crozer-Chester Hospital in Chester, PA and Hahnemann Hospital, Department of Opthalmology in Philadelphia. Under the tutelage of nationally recognized specialists, he obtained training in the fields of Glaucoma, Retinal Disease, Neuro-Opthalmology, and Pediatric Eye Care. Dr. Sohi acquired additional training as an intern in a multi-specialty Opthalmology practice in Philadelphia for three years. During his training there, he participated in clinical trials for glaucoma treatment.

Upon the completion of his training, he joined the Opthalmology referral center of Raleigh, NC as a staff doctor tending to LASIK and cataract surgery patients as well as performing consults for referring physicians from REX emergency room and other area physicians.

He is currently accepting new patients in Raleigh, NC, providing comprehensive medical eye exams as well as glaucoma, diabetic, and ocular disease care.

Outside her professional life, Carmen finds joy in the company of her beloved Aussie Doodle, Cooper, emphasizing the importance of companionship in both personal and professional interactions. She also integrates her passion for yoga, fostering a balanced approach to her life and work. Carmen's commitment to excellence and compassionate demeanor embodies the perfect blend of expertise and care in the field of optometry.

Meet Taijoura, an accomplished esthetician specializing in Hydrafacial treatments, applying her expertise at Sohi Eye Care in our new medspa, Heyedrate. A graduate of East Carolina University, her passion for skincare reflects a deep commitment to excellence.

Beyond her professional achievements, Taijoura revels in travel, constantly broadening her horizons. Her adventures are shared with her faithful Chiweenie companion, Prince, emphasizing the importance of companionship in her personal and professional life. Taijoura's dedication to skincare, coupled with her love for exploration captures her vibrant approach to life and beauty, enriching her work at Sohi Eye Care.

Meet Michelle, a devoted Billing Specialist at Sohi Eye Care for over a decade. Originally from Panama and raised in New York, she now calls Raleigh home. Fluent in Spanish, Michelle brings cultural diversity and effective communication to her role. A passionate pet lover, she finds joy in rescuing dogs, embodying compassion both in and out of the workplace.
